purple titanium handles

I’ve been anodizing 2 titanium liners at a lower dc voltage into a solution of diet coke . It really works well, nice color . Anodizing is another proces to personalize my folders . Especially for those small details , like a pocketclipit or spacer in a matching the color of the handle materials . Imagination never ends so we’ll see what’s possible in finish. I guess I need a variable anodizer with a voltage between 20-120 Volts to reach all colors. Before posting some pics I will sandblast and redo the anodizing job because both liner aren’t exactly the same color . Depending on the results and the available time I’ll make some homebuilt anodizing unit . Could be the next tutorial.

People are curious about my recent work and regulary they ask about my extra stowaway folder.Well I am in a hurry to finish this knife before end next week . I have been busy with a lot of usual things . At this moment the lock and blade is finished.This weekend I will sandblast the titanium before anodizing the piece into a gray finish.I have never done this before so I hope it will work in my homebuilt anodizer.I am also curious for the finish.My S.E.R.-tool ? Yes I am also spending a lot of time on this concept . I really hope to finish this tool before summer.The idea still remains to develope a compact, defensive tool to be prepared for daily common tasks and survival circumstances.
