grinder

Last year I started a renovation of my workshop.All jiggs and fixtures, my drillpress and grinder really need to be upgraded.My grinder project will take the most of time and budget.I will make my version of the KMG grinder in order to work more efficient and comfortable.Below a first idea , some modification are still needed to allow horizontal and vertical use of this grinder.

The VEM asynchronic 2 HP motor and several wheels.The motor will be used with a frequency control to allow adjustment of the beltspeed.In the picture the wheel isn’t completely on the drive shaft.Next are the toolbars,platen and toolrest.I made pivots to attach the small wheels to the platen with metric sized bolts M10.
